Goat Project

The aim of this project is to increase income generation via the development of a goat farming cooperative. Global Health Action trains group members in animal husbandry, basic veterinary skills, and financial literacy. Two group members are selected to act as animal health workers, and are provided with additional training in animal husbandry skills and enables them to assist the cooperative in caring for the goats. The cooperative receives an initial investment of livestock, a pregnant doe, an improved breeding buck, veterinary supplies and equipment. Members then take on the responsibility of feeding and caring for the goats.
